Will of Edward ESTON of St Peter Thanet 4 November 1479

Edward ESTON of St Peter’s in Thanet, 4 November 1479.
Buried in the churchyard.
Light of Corpus Christi one bushel of corn. To each Light of which I am a brother a bushel of barley. Ad opus of the church 6s.8d.
Edward GOTISLE 6s.8d.
Joan BARNARD daughter of Richard GOTISLE 6s.8d.
A chaplain celebrate for my soul, etc. for one quarter and have 16s.8d.
Edward GOTISLE have five virgates of land whereof one acre in field called Loudon straw and one virgate at Claringbolts and to his heirs for ever.
Executors – Nicholas EASTON, junior and Thomas READE.
Probate 14 March 1479-80. Archdeaconry Vol.3, fol. 270.
The EASTON Family were of Callis Court.
‘Nicholas ESTON of Calis Court’ was one of the Executors of Thomas SPRAKLING of St Peter’s in 1482. Archdeaconry Vol.3, fol. 25.
