Will of Thomas EDWARD of St Peter Thanet 1 August 1492

Thomas EDWARD, senior, of St Peter’s in Thanet, 1 August 1492.
Buried in the churchyard.
High altar 4d. Alice GENT 4d.
Wife Denis all my utensilia in camere, aule and kitchen, and third part of all my grain and cattle, another third part to Cecilie my daughter, and the last part to my Executors – wife Denis and Richard NORWOD, to dispose for my soul.
Feoffee – Nicholas HANYNE.
That three rods and half of land at Smythes, one acre at Loudon, three rods at Joysdown to be sold and money to pay debts, etc.
Simon ELIE have one acre of land at Langdele, and to his heirs.
Nicholas GRAUNT, junior and Thomas LEDERER have one acre and half of land at Jursway.
Wife Denis have all other lands, etc. for her life, then Cecilie my daughter when of full age all my lands and tenements and to her assigns for ever.
Wife and daughter to find a lamp burning on Festival days, before Image of Our Lady in the church.
