Will of Richard DUMPTON of St Peter Thanet 12 March 1476-7

Richard DUMPTON of St Peter’s in Thanet, 12 March 1476-7.
Buried in churchyard.
To each Light of which I am a brother 4d. A chaplain to celebrate in church for my soul, parents, etc.
Wife Agnes all stock of camere, aule, and le pewter and encam (brass) and one cow.
To fabrice of church 6s.8d.
Residue to wife Agnes and Salomon SAKET to dispose for my soul, etc. and they Executors.
Feoffees – Richard CULMER, senior and Nicholas GASTUN, senior.
Seven acres of land to be sold to pay debts, viz. six acres in two pieces near the Mill of St Peter’s and another acre at Gawdice.
Son Richard all other lands and tenements saving right of dowry (dote) during widowhood of my wife. Also Richard when 18 to have same, if Richard die without heirs then to be sold, and money disposed viz. for buying one Missal – ten marcs (£6.13s.4d) to buy a chalice £2, for the Church, and residue for my soul.
