Stephen HERRY of Brensette, 13 April 1487.
Buried in Church of St Eanswith the Virgin of Brensette.
High altar for tithes 20d. Light of Brotherhood of Blessed Mary 12d, Light of St Anne, St Katherine, 12d. each.
Richard HARRY my brother four marcs (53s.4d).
William BENNET a grey mare (equa grissia) and 20s.
A cow to provide a taper burning at my grave yearly in the church.
To the church a chalice price 33s.4d.
Residue after debts paid to wife Alice, who with Henry BALDEWYN of Snave my Executors.
Feoffees of all lands, tenements – John ENGEHAM of Great Chart, Esquire, John ROBERT of Warehorne, Richard ELYSE of Brensett, John CURTAYS of Brensett, Henry BALDEWYN of Snave, as by my deed.
Eight acres of land in Brensett, in tenure of Court of Dover, of which five acres recently obtained from Henry HOORN, Esqr, and three acres from William, son of Simon ADMOND, to wife Alice for life, then sold, money disposed for our souls.
Of all other lands, tenements in Brensett and Ivechurch – that two acres in Brensett in Court of Honychild be sold, and four marcs (53s.4d.) to Brensett church to buy books where most needed.
That Alice at WODE have three acres of Brensett in Court of Wyke for her life, then sold, money disposed for our souls.
A tenement with 18 acres of land obtained from Thomas COLYN in Brensett and Ivechurch be sold, money to my Executors to pay debts, etc.
