Will of Clement COBBE of Brenzett, Kent 15 January 1556-7

Clement COBBE of Brenset, late of Rye, 15 January 1556-7.
Buried in the church, and to poor people at my burial 36s.8d. and to poor at Salcott street 6s.8d.
Wife Joan all household stuff, seven milch kine, two young haffers, grey mare.
Daughter Katherine wife of William OKEMAN £20.
Clement OKEMAN son of my daughter £10 when 20, and to every other child of my daughter £3.6s.8d. each when 20 or day of marriage. If any die his part to others.
Daughter Joane wife of Thomas BEALE £20 and to Clement BEALE her son £10 when 20, and to every other child £3.6s.8d. when 20.
Peter COBBE my servant 6s.8d.
Wife of William CHAPMAN of Salcotte 13s.4d.
Residue of goods to wife Joane my Executor to pay my debts, etc.
Witnesses – William GIBBON, William FLAGE of Rye, John FOWLER of Goudhurst, John ROBERT, Gregory RIGATE of Brenset.
Wife have all profits from my two tenements, two Slaster (sic) houses at Rye in occupation of Henry KILE, William BROUGHTON, William EGLESTON, until my son Clement is 20 paying meanwhile to my son yearly £3s.6d.8d. and doing repairs, and Clement when 20 have the same.
Wife Joane for life the house where I now dwell with lands called the Rodde late bought of John EDOLF, after her death to Clement.
