Abstract of Will from Snave, Kent from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of John PLEAGER of Snave, Kent 18 May 1553

John PLEAGER of Snave, 1553.
Buried in churchyard.
Half moveables to wife Agnes my Executor, other part to son John and daughter Agnes.
Thomas PLEAGER my brother a shoed weane yoked with two oxen, and all the harness.
William PLEAGER my brother 20 ewes.
Alice NOCKE my sister 20 ewes.
Edward PLEAGER of Mersham have my son John ‘s part until John is 23.
John WEVELL of Snave have part of my daughter Agnes until she is 24 or day of marriage.
If son John die before 23, each others heir and if both die without lawful issue then to the next heir.
Thomas POWTON my servant a horse and gelding.
To the children of my wife £20 between them.
Witnesses – John NEVELL, Thomas HALLE, Richard ELVEY, Thomas WILLIAMSON, curate.
