Will of Richard ASHELEY of Snave, Kent 5 March 1547-8

Richard ASHELEY of Snave, 5 March 1547-8.
Buried in churchyard.
Wife Elinor four of my best oxen, and four kine, plough, wayn with all thereto, two of the best mares, half my household, 10 seames of wheat and barley.
Residue after debts paid in six parts, five of them to five of my children – son Robert, Margaret my eldest daughter, Alice, and Margaret (sic) my youngest daughter, and to one my wife goeth with.
The sixth part of Elinor my wife for keeping of my youngest child Margaret, and the child she goeth with, until they are 16.
Executor – William ASHELEY my eldest son, with John SMYTHE overseer, he to have 6s.8d.
Witnesses – Dom Jeoffrey ASHLEY, parson there, Dom Thomas WILKINSON, curate, John SMITH.
