William TAYLOR of St Lawrence in Thanet, 31 January 1498-9.
Buried in churchyard.
High altar 8d. Ad opus of the church 12d.
Daughter Juliane 13s.4d. Son Roger one small chest, pair of sheets price 3s, pair of blankets 3s, pillow price 12d. Alice Snode 6s.8d.
Wife Elisabeth 33s.4d. to repair my tenement and all stock (staura) belonging to my camere.
Executors – wife Elisabeth and son Roger, have residue after paying debts, etc.
Feoffee of my lands and tenements Stephen ATFORDE.
That wife Elisabeth have and occupy my tenement with 12 acres of land in the parish at Manston for her life, also the three rods of land which I obtained from Thomas KING and half an acre obtained from Stephen COOPYN.
Son Roger have all my other lands and to his heirs, and also at death of Elisabeth her part.
Witnesses – John ST NICHOLAS, gentleman, Thomas KING, William CURLYNG, Michael AT FORDE, John KNOTT.
