Abstract of St Lawrence Thanet Wills from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of Henry at BROKE of St Lawrence Thanet 16 Sept 1479

Henry at BROKE of Laurence in Thanet, 16 September 1479.
Buried in churchyard.
To the Lights of St Thomas the Martyr, Holy Sepulchre, St James, Nativity of Blessed Mary, St Katherine, to each one bushel of barley.
Wife Cristine all utensilia of my house viz. aule, camere et coquine, a mare, cow, eight sheep, two pigs, two young pigs, a cart and plough.
Daughter Elianor a cow.
Executors - wife Cristine and Richard BENETT, with John POULYN of Spattyngestrete, supervisor.
Feoffees – Gilbert BAKER, Roger SAUNDER and Richard BENETT.
Two acres of land in the Dane and three and half virgates of land at Cotynton to be sold to pay debts, etc.
Wife have other lands until son Thomas 16 years of age, then to Thomas my messuage and one acre of land on east side of the messuage and two acres at Brambilland.
Then to son John two and half acres of land at Brambilland and two and half acres at Dane.
To sons Thomas and John a croft of four acres and one virgate of land and to their heirs, but if none then to my wife Cristine for life, then to Elianor my daughter.
