Historic Buildings Committee

The Historic Buildings Committee was established in January 2006 in addition, and complementary, to the K.A.S.’ Churches Committee  (http://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/churches-committee/).

Current terms of reference

In relation to historic buildings in Kent, to promote and undertake:
(a)  Study of their history and archaeology;
(b)  Publication of such study;
(c)  The spread of knowledge of, and interest in them.

Members of the Committee come from a wide range of backgrounds, the uniting feature being that everyone has a particular interest in some aspect of historic buildings (whatever the size or function) and their archaeology, and associated records and documentation. The Committee works to fulfill its remit by undertaking a variety of liaison, research and education activities.
