CLEMENT PELL of the parrish of Maighfeild in Sussex, 21 August 1607. To be buried where it shall please God. I bequeathe 10s. to the parrishe of Maighfeld to be bestowed at my buriall. To the parrish of Rotherfield to be bestowed at my buriall. To my sonne Edward Pell and his heires one house wt the lands, shopp and all other edifies and buildings in the Towne of Smarden in Kent. To my sonne Clement Pell £60 at 21. To my daughter Anna Pell £20 at 21. If my executor do not paye the sum of £20 it shall be lawful for her to enter in my howse and lands in Smarden. I make Edward Pell my sonne sole Executor to whom I give all my other goods etc and Thos. Newnham of Mayfeild, saylor, and Edward Hodeley the yonger of Rotherfeild overseers. In presence of Robert Hodely, John Williams, Clement Pell. 
Proved 8 April 1608 by Edward Pell son of deceased and executor. (158 Bancroft).
