EDWARD READE of Tenterden, 10 May 1589. He did give all his goodes that God had indued him wt all unto Margaret Reade his sister and my will is that my Master James Godfrey shall have the keepinge of my saide goodes to the benefit of my suster in such manner and order as he in conscience shal thinke me best and I make him executour. [Will changes from third to first person]. 
  Witness: Robert Gibbon, John Godfrey, Isabell Childe and Jone Habberd.
  Proved 27 June 1589 by James Godfrey, executor. [265b Whitgift]
