EDWARD EVERIST of the parishe of Chiddingstone Yeoman being sicke etc. 5th Maie 1615, 13 James I. My bodie to the earthe from whence it came. Vnto the poore people that resort vnto my buriall to bee distributed at my buriall 20s. Vnto Edward Everist my oldest sonne £120 at his age of 18 yeres, to remain in the handes of my executrix and she to pay vnto him from his age of 18 until his age of 21 £6.13.4 euerie yere, my executrix to provide for him and to see him brought vpp in all godlie and honest sorte befittinge his degree. Vnto my two daughters Elizabeth Everist and Sara Everist eache £50 at 21 or marriage. Vnto my sonne Thomas Everist £40 at his age of 15 yeres (to be in hands of executrix as before but paying him yearly £3 from 15 to 21). To Thomas Everist the sonne of Walter Everist 10s to be paid the daie of my buriall. 
Residue to Elizabeth my welbeloved wife whome I make executrix. Last Will: of all my landes. Firste vnto Elizabeth my wife for terme of her life my hous and all my lande, keepinge my saide housinge and buildings in good reparacon and preservinge my woods, and after the decease of the said Elizabeth all my saide house and lands vnto Thomas Everist my yongest sonne and his heires and for lacke to Edward my sonne. To Walter Everist my kinsman 10s. within one month of my decease. Elizabeth my wife shall have the bringinge vpp of all my children until 21 and to enter into bonds for the some of £400. I hartily intreat and desire my welbeloved friends and kinsmen William Birstye and Henrie Streatfeild of Chiddingstone and Wm. Everist of Pensherst to bee supervisours and Overseers. Signed and sealed &c Edwarde Everest, in presence of Wm. Birstye Henrie Streatfeild, Wm. Everest, the marks of Walter 
Everest. Proved 7 June 1615 by Elizabeth, relict. (268a Abbot).
