THOMAS TAYLOUR of the Towne and Porte of Hyde yeoman, sicke in body etc., 13 June 31 Elizabeth. To the poore mens boxe of Hyde 3s. 4d. Vnto Margery my oulde servant £10 in recompense of all such dutyes and debts that I doe owe her. To my sister Johane Spicer 20s. and to eache of her children 20s. Vnto my sisters sonne John Kenet 20s. and 20s. I owe him. Vnto the saide Margery Payne the fetherbed and boulster that she nowe lyeth vppon. Residue to Alice Baker my base doughter wch I doe make executrice and John Warde Esquier Captayne of Sandgate Castle and Thos. Tourney of Saltwood, Gent, ouerseers. 
I give to Mr. Ambrose Warde my boule. I will my black Nagge to be prised and the mony deuyded betwene my ouerseers for theire paynes. If Alice my executour die before her mariage or age of 20 or refuse to be ruled in her bringing up and in her nonage by Thos. Tourney one of the saide ouerseers and his wief by the space of two years after my decease then she shall loose all the benefitte of this my will and all my goodes to be equally devyded amonge sister Joannes children and John Kneb my sister Tomasynes sonne. Witness: John Daunton and Willm Knyghte. 
On 21 July 1589 a commission to administer the goods of Thomas Tayler "adviam intestate" because Alice Baker executrice is a minor granted to John Ward and Thomas Tourney, supervisors. (273a Whitgift I).
