JOHN DE BEUERLE, 4 May 1380. To be buried in the conventual church of Westminster on the South side of the tomb of the noble King Edward (the III). For my burial there and Amis my wife and for our souls and that of the noble King Edward and our parents and all faithful departed I give to the fabric of the same church 100s. on condition that the monks of Westminster come for my body where-so-ever it may be in London with procession to bury me in the placed named and for the body of Amis my wife when it shall happen. I leave £20 for the sustentation of a chaplain to celebrate at the altar of Saint Edward the King in the said church for three years &c. 
I leave to the church of West Grenewich to amend a glass window there 40s. on condition that a shield of my arms be depicted anew in the said window. To the church of Bakenhull similarly and to the church of Stoklile.
(Further long directions as to his funeral at Westminster &c. but no other Kent bequest. He left annual rent of ten marcs out of his tenements in Bradestrete in London for a chantry in the church of All Saints extra murum London, to pray for King Edward, Nicholas Rumbold, himself and Amis his wife. His house in Cosynlane to his wife for her life, and other property to his mother Matilda for life and then to his right heirs). 
Executors Nicholas Brembre, Robert Bardolf, Roger Marchal, Sir John Benet, chaplain and Richd. Stanlake, clerk.
