ROBERT DE WALTON, rector of the church of Clyue [ Cliffe ] on Sunday next after the feast of the Decollation of Blessed John Baptist viz 31 August 1376. To be buried in the church of Clyue in the entrance of the choir. I leave to William de Bliclyng a silver ‘spiceplate’, a iacke, a hauberjon, a bacenet with aventaile to the same, a leggehernais complete. (jacke – jacket over the mail. Huberjon or haubergeon = a coat of mail. Aventaile = the face guard). I leave to John de Brokton priest a silver cup with cover a cup ‘de murro’, a huberion and a bacenet, a ‘pair of decretals’, a gown of ‘sangwyn scarlet’ complete and the whole furred and 100s. To the Monastery of Casteleacre in Norfolk a book called "Hostiensis in summa" (on the Decretals). 
To Letice my sister a bed with curtains and half a ‘ceiler’ of blue and a silver cup with cover. To Juliana my sister a bed woven with camels (cum camelis contextum) which sometime belonged to the Lord Henry Gaund Duke of Lancaster and a silver cup with cover. To Sir Thomas Cook, chaplain, a piece of silver a cup ‘de murro’ (i.e. a maser) and a robe with fur. To Sir Stephen de Cressingham, a complete robe lined with taffeta. To Thomas Nedelane a breviary ‘cum nota’. To John Richonde a breviary without note. 
I leave five tunics with five hoods to be distributed by my executors to five poor persons having greatest need and each to hold a wax taper round my body on the day of my burial. To Mister William Fisico a new gown with hood. To John Broune, Richard Brighon and Stephen de Berkyng my servants all garments which I had this year to be divided between them. I wish that the said John, Richard and Stephen shall have between them equally six acres of land with pertinancies in Clyue for two years after my decease. I wish that John Scardenylle and John Smyth have between them equally two acres of land in Clyue next Adelyshawe for two years after my decease, and I leave to the same John and John for seed two quarters of barley. Residue I leave to the College of the Holy Trinity in Cambridge. 
Executors: William de Blicklyng, citizen of Norwich, Master Adam de Wykmere, custos of the aforesaid College, John de Brokton priest, Thomas Medelane citizen of London, and John Broune my chamberlain. Dated at Clyue. Proved at Cherryngg 3 October 1376 by Master Adam de Wykmere, Sir John de Brocton and John Broune with reserved power for William de Bliclyng and Thomas Medelane. Acquittance to executors 8 April 1381. (92a Sudbury).
