SIR JOHN COLLEWELL, priest and vicar of the church of Chistelete, 7 November 1382. "Sepeliendum inter fratres ordinis heremitarum Sci Augustini Cantuar. I leave to the fabric (fabrice) of their church £6.13.4. I leave to every brother of their Order in Canterbury £2 to be divided between them by equal portions. I leave to Friars Preachers of the same town 6s. 8d. To the Friars Minors 6s. 8d. To the Carmelite Friars of Sandwich 6s. 8d. 
To William Rede in my parish a girdle of black silk ornamented with silver and with three silver bars and a silver pendant and 5 silver bars. To the same William three silver spoons. To Margaret wife of the said William three silver spoons and a ring the rod (virga) of which is gold with a stone firmly fixed called "ammatystyr". 
To the ‘fabrice’ of the church of Chistelete 13s. 4d. To Thomas parish clerk there 20d. To John Belpar 6d. To Sir Thomas Lark, chaplain, 6s. 8d. and a ‘diurnale’ with a white leather cover. To Sir William Legaunt vicar of the church of Hierne a silver cup having in the bottom an image of the Blessed Virgin of Hawmeyle. To John Baker my parishioner 6s. 8d. To John Spicher late ‘seriaunt’ of the town of Canterbury 3s. 4d. To Colette wife of the same John 3s. 4d. I will that of my goods in the parish of Sellyng in Canterbury Diocese there be sold by William de Rede of the parish of Chistelet for a priest to celebrate for two years for my soul in the church of Sellyng. To Agatha Bude 3s. 4d. To Nicholas Blower 3s. 4d. To Brother Thomas Breche of the Convent of the order of heremits of St. Augustine Canterbury 3s. 4d. I ordain executor Sir William Legaunt perpetual vicar of the church of Herne and William Rede of my parish of Chistlett. Dated "in loco fratrum ordinis heremitarum Sancti Augustini Cantuar". To Sir William Legaunt a silver girdle. 
Proved 25 April 1383 in the chapel of our manor of Otteford by Sir William Legaunt executor. (202b Courteney).
