REGINALD DE PEKHAM, Thursday in the
east of the Translation of Saint Edward King and Confessor. [1407]. To be buried
in the churchyard of the church of Wrotham. To the fabric (fabrice) of the said
church £10. to the high altar to be divided between the Rector and Vicar 40s.
To the fabric of the church of Chevenyng 40s. To finding a chaplain to celebrate
in the church of Wrotham for my soul, my parents and benefactors for four years
36 marcs.
To Alice my wife all my chattels existing in the manors of Aldham
and Goldsmythes nevertheless if it shall be necessary ‘Multon de Godesmythes’
to be sold to fulfil my will.
To be divided between my attendants (famulos) 10 mrcs. Residue to
Alice my wife to fulfil my last will and I make her and Sir John Sunderasshe
rector of the church of Wrotham and Richard Sewer executors.
