JOHN SELBRYTENDEN (capellanus) Saturday next after the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Mary 1407. To be buried in the belltower (campanili) of the church of All Saints of Brynchesle. To the work (fabrice) of the church and bell tower six marcs or seven as can be raised from my goods. I will that John Caps vicar of Brynchesle shall have as well of right as of a legacy my best book. I leave to Alice Chullemell a hood and a hat. To John Plecher my attendant (familus) a pair of shoes. Residue to Robert Chilberton vicar of Gowtherste and the said John Caps clerk, to dispose for my exequies and month’s mind and anniversary for the health of my soul my parents etc. I ordain Robert Chilberton executor vicar of Gowthershe and John Caps vicar of Brynchesle, clerks. 
Proved 18 February 1407 by Sir Robert Chilberton perpetual vicar of Goutherste. 
Reserved power for Sir John Caps perpetual vicar of Brynchesle. (250a Arundel I).
