To be buried in the monastery of Boxle, next the sepulture of my father. To the high altar of the said monastery a certain annual rent of 6s. 8d. coming out of my lands called Brokrede in the parish of Ayllysford. To each monk 6s. 8d. To the work (fabrice) of the church of Alynton 40s. and to the high altar of the same for tithes forgotten 6s. 8d.
To the church of the College of Maydeston 6s. 8d. To the parish church of Aylisford 20s. To the work (fabrice) of the parish church of Boxle 20s. and of Shorne 20s. I leave to William my brother my manor called "le Cowmbe" with all its appurtenances. To William Philpoth otherwise called Laurans my servant 20s. To Douncelle the attendant of my wife 6s. 8d. To each of my servants called `effab’ viz ‘yeman’ 6s. 8d. To each groom (garcioni) and each ‘analle’ serving in my house 3s. 4d. To each page 20s. Rest of my goods as well in the hall as in the pantry, kitchen and other places in the manor of Aynton. I leave to Elizabeth my wife and my children in equal portions. To each executor 40s. and all other goods to them to pay debts, legacies and ordain for my soul. Executors: Elizabeth my wife, Wm. de Cobham my brother, John Woley and Thomas Wyke. Dated at Alynton.
Proved 7 January 1405 and administration granted to Dame Elizabeth relict, William Cobham, John Woley and Thomas Wykys (226b Arundel I).
