JOHN TALBOT of the Town of Romeney Thursday next before the Feast of the Annunciation of B. Mary 1402. To be buried in the church of St. Nicholas of Romeney under the bell-tower. To the fabric (fabrice) of the church 6s. 8d. To the vicar for tithes forgotten 3s. 4d. To an honest priest to celebrate for two years. To the light of the Fraternity of B. Mary there 3s. 4d. To John Blanche my kinsman 5 marcs and a gown with hood of the livery of the Abbot of Bataile To John Reney my kinsman a basilard harnessed with silver, a horse with saddle and bridle called "bancy", a gown of moustredevylers with hood of Sanguin and doblette of red worstede with two pairs of boots of black and one pair of Scarlet one of them decorated with silver and a dagger harnessed with silver and 40s.. 
To Sarra my sister 40s. To John Derby husband of the said Sarra all the debt he owes me. To Peter Mounde my ‘famulus’ 113s. 4d. and a long gown of black worsted with a doblett of fustyan. To the Abbot and Convent of St. Augustine Canterbury 10 marcs to pray for me on condition that they freely deliver to my executors all my goods moveable and unmoveable and allow of the reparation of the manor of Plumsted with the wall of the Thames there. To Johanne my daughter (Lego Johanne filie mee) a sword with silver harness and a cup called ‘gobelett’, gilt, with cover. To John Brewere of Ospryng a piece with a cover and a gown of scarlet with fur. Residue to Alice my wife and Johan my daughter. Executors: William Cletrouz (sic) Alice my wife and Johan my daughter. 
Proved 28 March 1403 at Forde and administration granted to William Oletrouz (sic) and Alice relict. (Note the name Oletrouz, Clererouz or Cletrouz is also written). (200a Arundel I).
