I leave all my movable goods to Johanne my wife that she with my executors named below may honestly arrange my burial and pay the stipends of all my attendants (famulorum) and my other debts. And for the said payments etc I will that my manor of Shaldeford in Bedfordshire be sold by my wife Johane and my executors. Residue to Johanne my wife for ever.
Executors Sir Richard my son, William Hawte, Sir Robert Abbot ‘de Graciis" and Richard Barbor of Maydeston. And I desire Sir Richard my son to be protector and helper to Johanne my wife his mother all his life as he would wish to rejoice before God and my blessing. Witnesses: William Mannyng, John Warburton, John Lange.
Probate is not filled in. (482b Chichele I).
