To be buried in the church of St. Nicholas Rochester at the feet where the bodies of my father and mother lye buried. To Thomas Turnor and Alice his wife a standing silver cup with cover which I had of the executors of the will of Master John Lebbych. I leave to Elizabeth daughter of the said Thomas and Alice a dozen of the best silver spoons. To Juliana Fynchyngfeld another dozen for her life and then to remain to Margery Priour servant to the said Juliana. To Isabel Penwortham my aunt 20s. To Cecilie her daughter 20s. To Nichola my sister 20s. To each of her sons and daughters 13s. 4d. To Marion wife of John Nicholl of Rochester half a dozen silver spoons. I leave to the Venerable in Christ Father and Lord the Lord Henry Archbishop of Canterbury for his College in the University of Oxford my books to the sum of 40 marcs, except my bible which I have given to Master Andrew Hales. I leave 40s. to be distributed between my poor parishioners at Burn Episcopi (?Bishopsbourn). I leave 40s. to be distributed amongst my poor parishioners at Crayford, and 20s. among the poor in the Town of Rochester.
I leave Richd Grey, my servant 20s., John Woddeward my servant 13s. 4d., Richard Spryngfeld 13s. 4d., John Wilham of Lamhith 13s. 4d. and Johan his wife 13s. 4d. To Robert Pyriton rector of the church of St. Leonard in Estchep, London 20s. so that he take the burden of executor of my will, and on the same conditon 20s. to Sir John Byrkhed clerk and Thomas Ballard Esqr. 20s. and Nicholas Hulme 20s. Residue to my executors as above named to dispose for my soul. Dated at Lamhith. As regards all lands and tenements etc in the towns of Sydyngborne and Rochester in Kent I wish my executors to sell them, desiring that Thomas Turnour have the lands etc in Rochester for £20 and the money distributed for my soul.
No probate act. The will preceding this was proved 10 May 1441 but that which follows on 5 November 1440 and the following 12 November 1441. The wills are therefore not entered in strict order and this may be either 1440 or 1441. (472a Chichele I).
