JOHN WYLCOKE, 20th (?April) 1441, 19th year of Henry VI. To to buried in the churchyard of the church of All Saints of Bedynden. To the high altar 20d. To Sir Richard Hanson, chaplain there to pray for me 12d. To the parish clerk 4d. To each light of which I am a brother 4d. To each of my godsons (filiorum but filiolorum is intended) 4d. To John Heslynden my best gown. I leave five marcs to find a chaplain to celebrate divine offices in the church of Bedyngden for half a year. To William Cutebussh son of William Cutebussh 40s. To the same William a bed "j steled panne" and one little brass pan, a candelstick, 10 "par handellfull" and one pair of shears (forpices) which goods are to be kept until he is 15 years old. 
I leave to Katherine my daughter to her marriage 10 marcs and if she die to remain to Agnes my wife. Residue to Agnes my wife. I make executors William my brother and Agnes my wife. Last will dated 20 April 1441. My feoffees viz William Wylcoke, William Bukhurst, John Harvy and Wm. Richard to make a state to Agnes my wife in all my lands and tenements upon the denne (written ‘super denham’) of Speldhurst. I will that three pieces of my land lying upon the Dennes of Trendhurst and Bydynden be sold and the money distributed to Alice and Agnes my daughters to their marriage. I will that one piece of my land upon the denne of Bydynden called Reedpitfeld be sold and the money distributed to find a chaplain in the church of All Saints of Bydynden to celebrate half a year and residue to mending bad roads in the parish and in other works of charity.
I will that the residue of my tenements in Bydynden be delivered to Agnes my wife for her life and after her decease to Katerine my daughter. If she die without heirs to remain to Alice and Agnes my daughters and after their death to the heirs of William Wylcok my father. I will that Alice and Agnes be now and in future in custody of Agnes my wife until they come to marriage age. 
Proved 10 May 1441 by executors. (471a Chichele I).
