WILLIAM BASSET. Tuesday in the Vigil of St. Peter, 1428. To be buried in the church of the Friars Preachers of Gyldeford near the body of Thomas Wyntreshull. To the fabric (fabrice) of the said church 40s. To each Brother being a priest 20d. to celebrate for my soul and all the Brothers not priests 12d.
   To the fabric of the church of Worplesdon 20s. The fabric of the church of Chelsham 6s. 8d. To the fabric of the church of Westram (Westerham) in Kent 6s. 8d.
   To Margaret daughter of John Vucdale my goddaughter 40s. To Matilda Weston 5 mrcs, William Lymer 6s. 8d, John Limer senior 40d, John Limer junior a bullock. To Isabel Atte Stretter a bullock. To John Duke junior a bullock aged one year. To John Duke senior 40d. To William Hayman 6s. 8d. To Simon Frensham 20d. To William Wodlon 40s, Margaret Waterman 40d. Residue to Agnes my wife whom with Reginald Pekham I make executors.
   Proved 12 March 1429 by Agnes relict Reginald Pekham renouncing. [418b Chichele I]
