JOHN PACHET of the Parish of Holy Cross of Westgate Canterbury. 20 October 1420. To be buried in the churchyard aforesaid. To the lights of the Holy Cross 3s. 4d. To each of the lights of Blessed Mary and St. John Baptist 3s. 4d. Of St. Christopher 20d, of (Our Lady of) pity 6d., of St. Katherine [blank] I leave a wax candle of two lbs to burn before the image of St. Michael there. To each house of Friars in Canterbury 6s. 8d. 
To le Maynerespitele 20s., the Hospital of Herbaldoune 6s. 8d. To Katherine Pachet 6s. 8d. To each of my godsons 12d. To each of my servants 12d. To William Bocher 20d., to Simon Robard and his wife 20d., Richard Baker my best furred gown. To William Baker another gown of Russet. To Laurence Baker a gown of ‘violete’. To Thomas Baker a green gown and a hood of ‘seol’. To 13 poor people 13 pair of shoes. To Lora Baker a dish, a brass pot etc at the age of 16. If she decease to remain to Juliana my wife. To the wife of Richd. Baker 6s. 8d. 
To Richard Baker a cup of ‘Maser’ bound with silver sculptured with leaves of ‘yuy’, 6 silver spoons etc. To Juliana my wife all my moveable chattels which I have in hall, chamber and kitchen. To John Austen for his labour 40s. To John Wynterbourne for the same 20s. To Juliana my wife as much barley for her use as is in my house the day of my death. Residue I leave to John Austyn and John Wynterbourne to dispose and to be executors. 
To the fabric of the church of Westgate 40s. To John Salutz 20s. Last Will, 20 October 1420, concerning all the lands and tenements which John Austyn and John Wynterborne of Westgate have of the gift and confirmation of the said John Pachet. After his death Juliana his wife to have a tenement in the parish of Holy Cross of Westgate in a place called Mollane and three shops at Westgate in a place called Crokkerslane for her life. And they shall sell all the lands and tenements at Maryndene to pay debts legacies etc. and also sell all his lands etc at Stouremouth and of the same dispose to the use of the church there 5 marcs and 20s. to Laurence Baker, 20s. to Richd. Baker and 20s. to William Baker. And they shall sell his tenement in which he lived and distribute the money: To Juliana his wife 40 marcs, and 10 marcs to Lora daughter of William Baker when she is 16. If she die then the 10 marcs equally between the boys of Richard Baker and William Baker. And the said John Baker wished that his feoffees should find a Chaplain in the church of Holy Cross for two years to sing for him and his benefactors, also that after the decease of the said Juliana the tenement in le Mellelane shall revert to the said feoffees and be given at once to John Salutz in fee simple provided he gives the said feoffees £15.6.8 for a chaplain to celebrate in the church of Westgate for two years. 
The said three shops in Crokkerslane to be sold and 10 marcs, with 40s. of the tenement in Mellelane to be given to Richard Baker aforesaid. And the said John wished that an acre of land at Stourmouthe before the gate of the mansion of Katherine Pachet shall remain to the said Katherine for her life, the reversion to the feoffees to be sold with the other lands at Stouremouth.
