JOHN MARACHE of the parish of St. Alphege, Canterbury, 9 August 1420. To be buried in the churchyard of Christ Church Canterbury. To my venerable lord the Prior of the same 40s. To the high altar of St. Alphege for tithes etc. 10s. To the work (opus) of the nave of the same church 20s. To the parish clerk 20d. To the P. & C. of St. Gregory Canterbury 6s. 8d. 
To the Friars of Sandewic 13s. 4d. To the Brethren and sisters of the hospital of St. John, Canterbury, 3s. 4d. To the Vicar of Bekesbourne 3s. 4d. To the work (opus) of the nave of Bekesbourne church 3s. 4d. To the Friars Preachers of Canterbury 6s. 8d. To the Friars Minors there to pray for me 6s. 8d. and the Augustine Friars 6s. 8d. To the chapel of St. John in Canterbury 6s. 8d. To Cristina my wife all my chattels and utensils in my house in which I now dwell. To Johanne Vmfray her mother 20s. To Estmere Mersh a gown of russet furred with black ‘Bogey’. To John Birch another gown. To Thomas Robert another. To Thomas Mor a bow with 12 arrows. To Agnes my servant a brass pot and pan and a pig. To Deonise my servant a brass pot. Residue at disposition of John Brown, John Isaac, Robert Newlond and Estmer Mersh my executors. 
Proved 21 September 1420 before John, Prior of Christ Church in our priory, Canterbury, by John Brown and Estmere Merssh, Robert Newlond renouncing. (336b Chichele I).
