12 Sept 1534. Nicholas Upton of Throuleigh (Throwley). To be buried in churchyard of St Mighell. Light of the trinyte iiijd. Our lady iiijd. the crosse iiijd. Saynt Mighell iiijd. to the herse light iiijd. To church of Ospringe 6/8, of Sheldwiche 6/8, of Waltham 6/8, of Elmested 6/8.
   To the mariage of Margaret my doughter 20mk. To Emmote Terry daughter of Thomas Terry my goddon 1 ewe.
   To Nicholas Marle son of George Marle my godson 1 ewe lambe 6/8 to make the full of X ewes to helpe maynteyne the light yn the chapell of Wylberton before the Image of our lady ther.
   Johane my wiffe, Thomas and Robert my sones exors.
   Witness John Fyne, Thomas Terry, Thomas Relfe.
   My lands in Throwley, Ospringe, Sheldwiche, Waltham and Elmestede (Elmsted).
   Johan my wife my tenement in Throulegh and Ospringe with rem. to Robert my sone yn fee symple for evermor.
   Thomas and Robert my sons my tenement in Sheldwiche and land called Subbote whiche myn uncle Thomas Upton did geve me by his last will.
   Lands in Waltham and Elmested to remain till George my son is 25 then to him.
   Probate 17 December 1534.
