9 August 1597. Joane Upton of Smeth. To be buried in churchyard of Smeth (Smeeth).
   To Richard KENNET my daughter’s sonne my blacke cowt. To Alice CHURCH my sister.
   To her 3 daughters a pewter dishe each.
   Thomas BECHINGE my brother to be executor.
   Residue to Elizabeth my daughter.
   To the said Thomas my brother all I had by the ?test of Robert STONARD of Smethe deceased.
   In presence of Rainold KEALL, Thomas PELLAND, Stephen BESBEECH.
   Proved 19 October 1697. ? £8.10.
