Robert Aske (see Aske Pedigree in Vis. of Yorks 1584-5 and 1612 (Harlian Soc) p.119. 14 Sept 1604.
   To his wife Elizabeth all his goods etc and to keep his daughter Elizabeth as yet unmarried.
   Appoints Enble Thelwall of Grayes Inne Esq. and Thomas Jones "my sonne in law" to be overseers.
   To Mr Enble Thelwall a Bible. To Mr Thos Jones all the rest of his Books.
   Lastlie whereas the Lorde Maior and Courte of Aldermenn of the Citie of London haveTenn yeares last past given Comandemt or order to the then Chamberleyn or others and to one John Leake to receive the proffitte of the Terme of Leadenhall of London wch then I helde and now I howlde duringe my lief by graunte from the cyttye for an Yearelie Rent wherby they receyved of the said proffitte beinge due to me over and above the Rent due to the cittie abowte the some of Fower hundred & twentie twoe poundes wch I have not receavyed as yett all wch some I doe give and bequeathe unto the said Elizabeth my wief requiringe hir firste assone as she can after my deathe to become an humble suitor to the Lorde Maior and courte of Aldermen of London for the obteyninge therof whome I doe not doubte shee shall finde bothe honorable and charitable. But yf shee canott be by them in convenient tyme relieved then my will is that she take suche courses for the obteyninge therof as shee shal be advised to take by Councell learned".

   Probate 14 Feb 1604 to Elizabeth relict.
   Sentence between Elizabeth Aske relict of Robert Aske late of Lewsham in Co Kent and James and Thomas Aske sons of deceased.
