William PATYNDEN - Will 7 August 1507

William Patynden of the parish of Benynden 7 August 1507. To be buried in the church of Seynt George at Benynden. A taper of a lb of wax to brenne bifore thymage of Seynt Kateryn in the church of Benynden by the space of 7 yeres. Residue to Thomasyn my wif & to my sonnys and she & Gerveys Maplysden to be executors.
Last will: my feoffes to delyver to Thomasyn my wife a gardyn, mesuage & 18 acres of land which I bought of Richard Taylor and a mesuage & a gardyn called Bonys in parish of Bydynden upon the dennes of Standen & Bydynden. And said Thomasyn to have the kechyn & the soler over the saide kechyn of my principall mesauge that I nowe dwel yn and her aysiment in the backehouse & gardyn there. I will she have all my stuff of houshold to dispose amongst Stephen & Laurence my sonnes.
To William my son all my londs in parish of Bydenden fro Berkelys forstall to Lachyn- -denys Crosse on the west side of the said parisshe of Bydynden strete. To Walter my son my londs I late bought of Thomas Waller esquyer in parisshes of Lamberherst & Woodherst (sic). To Stephyn my son my londs in parish of Sandeherst I bought of Richard Borne and londs in Hawkeherst, Tyseherst & Wodherst callid Cristmas, Bordellys Golle & le Ferdynge. To Laurence my son my londs etc in Benynden upon the Dennes of Sarynden & Comden & londs called Knollys & Puckebroke & a pece of medow & 2 acris lying at Crothole ys mylle & all thoo londs & tenements which I late bought of Thomas Pelle in parisshes of Bydynden & Smerden.
To William Patynden my son when 22 all my londs etc upon the dennes of Holveherst & Dyngelden in the parissh of Benynden. To Thomas my son when 22 my londs in parissh of Smerden and all thos londs I late bought of Water Brekynden and of Thomas Weder in parissh of Bedynden. If said William & Thomas die then londs lying upon the denne of Dengilden which cam by right of Agnes late my wife & grandam (sic) to the saide William & Thomas to be delyvered to Julyan the doughter of the saide John Patynden when she is maried. I ordeigne to the marriage of Jone Fogill the dougther of Nicholas Fogill 5 mark.
Witnesses: John Stonestrete, John Ramysden thelder, Thomas Gerdeler, John Watte, John Tuks, John Philpott, William Water & other.
Proved 12 Oct. 1508 by Thomasyne relict & Gervase Maplisden executors. [PCC 6 Bennet]
