John WOLFE - Will  1490

John Wolfe of Benynden, Monday in the feast of All Saints 1490. To be buried in the churchyard. I leave to the making of ‘le Rodelofte’ in the said church 20s. To foul was between Polontonnys and the dwelling (mansionem) of Ricahrd Everynden 20s. Residue to Alice my wife whom with Bartholomew Wolfe my son & John Sharp I make executors. [Latin]
Last will: Alice my wife shall occupye for terme of her life my newe chambre at the place where I now dwell in and I will John Sharp, Richard Everynden, Richard Lede and Walter Denman, my feoffes, maker her a sure state and after that made my feoffes delyver to Barthylmew Wulfe my son in fee symple my mesauge I now dwell in & all lands parteyninge in the parish of Benynden upon the Den of Benynden, except two pecis lying at Courterns at the west ende of the kings high strete there which
Alice hath for terme of her life and after her decease to John my soon, and all such landes as Stephin Everynden nowe holdeth to ferme upon the Den of Hempstede at the age of 21. Also to the said John a pece of lande called Drustede at the age of of 21. I will Barthilmew my soon shall take & resseyne of Thomas Webbe of Tyseherst all such money as is due to me for all souch lands & tenements at Flemyngwell in the parish of Tyseherst the which I late solde unto the said Thomas, he to safely keep the same to the use of John my soon till he come to the age of 21. Also at 21 my soon John shall have in fee symple 3s 6d of yerely rent going owte of certayne landes & tenements of oon William Iregge of Haukeherst. Landes ordeigned to the saide John to be delyvered to Bartilmewe in fee simple until he is 21 & the halfendele of the said money to be delyvered to Bartilmewe and the other halfendile to Agnes, Alice & Thomasyne my doughters at the day of their mariages. To Johane my doughter 5 marcs. I gyve to the said Bartilmew my soon 200 of lynnyn yarne & my horse.
