Sir John Barker of Newynden (clerk) 17 Aug. 1524. To be buried in the parishe churche of Newynden. To the Rode aulter 20d. To the pavyng of our lady chapell 3s 4d yf the parishens will pave it orells I will geve nothing. To reparacion of the house of Freres of Losyndam 20d. To frere Peter, frere Richard and frere John to every of them 20d. To George Huen my godsonne 6s 8d, John Jelyon my godsonne 10s, Nicolas Daly my godsonne 3s 4d. John Bate my godsonne 3s 4d. My goddoughter Elizabeth Bate 20s. My brother Thomas Barker & John his sonne tenne pounds. I will that Hugh Strete have 6s 8d, my suster Agnes 6s 8d, my broders wyfe 3s 4d, my godsonne John Domelowe 6s 8d, my cosyn Margery Hockell 3s 4d, Margaret Browne 3s 4d, my goddoughter Busshell 20d. I will Sir Thomas and Sir Richard, prests of Rowynden either of them XXd. To Cristofer Petter & John Petter 20d. Residue to Hugh Barker to dispoase for my soul & all christian soules and to be executor.
Witness: Sir Richard Calcott, preest, George Syer, John Twysden, Thos Julyon, John Dedylton.
Proved 24 May 1525 by executor. [PCC 33 Bodfelde]
