Rycharde Aylond of
the parish of Tenterden, yoman, 14 Nov. 5 Henry VIII. To be buried in
churchyard of Saint Myldred at Tenterden. I wooll and bequeth to the
maynteynyng of Ihus masse by the space of 7 yere
every yere 2s. Unto the church of Tenterden to thuse of the same church
two kyne to be lettyn out by the yere at a resonable pryce & 13d of
the rent to13 poore men of the same parisshe every good Fryday for
evermore yf they wooll receyve hit.
Unto Stephyn Draner 6s 8d. Unto the paving of the high way betwene
Stapulherst & Lynton --- (not filled in). I woll that my Father
shall have £10 and yf he be deed I wooll it shall remayn to my suster
Isabell & yf she be deed my brother Georges chyldren. A preest shall
syng masse for my soule my Father & Moder soules & all christian
soules in the parisshe wher my Father dwellyth for a yere & he to
have 8 marcs. John Clerycke to have the sayd 8 marcs delyvered unto hym
by myn Executours to delyver unto my Father to se that the sayd preest
may be truly payed his salary & wags.
My wyff to have 6 bales woode of the best that is at Thomas Aylondys
& my wyffe to have my wolle & all other moveables longyng unto
my house. I bequeth 6 payer of shermen sherys & all other necessarys
appertaynyng unto my shoppe to Thomas Austyn & Willyam Nayler. To
Jone George 10s at her maryage. To George my brothers sonne 40s. I wyll
that my wyff delyvere unto Alys Warde 5 marcs the day of her maryage. To
Thomas Egilden 20s. Unto Sr Wyllyam the parisshe preest for his labour
10s and whanne he geythout of his service he to have for a quarter wags
to pray for my soule 40s.
Executours Thomas Aylond and my cosyn Henry Wodward & Bartholomew
Foule overseer. An honest preest to syng masse formy soule & all
christian in the parisshe of Oveston in the Countie of North by the
space of an hole yere £6.13.4.
I wooll that the mony of a cloth that Petur Maister bought of me be
bought with all a payer of Orgonnes to do service in the church of
Tenterden. Unto Griffith my servant 6s 8d. All my colts & stags wych
I an partener with John Cleacke to Henry Woodward & to the sayd John
Clerycke & I wooll that
Bartholomew & John Cleacke shall take accompts of my executours.
Wittenes Sir Willm Strekett curett of Tenterden, John Clerycke, Wyllyam
Recard, john Manyng & Sr Wyllyam curet of Oveston.
