Geoffrey Shorte of Tenterden, 28 Jan. 1508. To be buried in the cemetery of the parish church of St Mildred the Virgin of Tenterden.
I leave to Agnes & Johanne my daughters 5 marcs to their marriages or at the age of 24. An honest priest to celebrate in Tenterden church & Wittersham & for the soul of Alice Dekwell & to have 11s in performance of the will of the said Alice. I leave to the amending of the footway called Croswey between the messuage of Hugh Parker & the great footway [le magnum pedestrium] 6s 8d, in performance of the will of Stephen Dekwell.
If Margaret my wife be delivered of a daughter then the said daughter to have 5 marcs. Residue to be divided between Stephen, Thomas, William & Peter my sons & my daughter but if the child be a boy then he shall have equally with the others.
