Margaret Harryes of
London widowe. 5th July 1490. To be buried in the parish
church of Seint Leonardis in Fanstourlane beside Westchepe of London in
the middis of the body of the same chirch where as the body of my
housband Olyver Davy, whoos soule God assoile, lieth buried. Four honest
tapers & 12 honest Torches at my burying and six to the parish
chirch of Tentirden in Kent where ynne I was cristeined to serve to the
laude & praysing of Allemyghti God and his sents as longe as they
may endure (same to Seint Georgis besides Seint Botulphes lane) Priests
to sing in church of Sent Leonard for my soule & the soules of my
late housbandes, Olyver Davy, William Crowther (or Crowcher) and Mighell
Herryes.
To Richard Odiham citezin & Draper of London, executor and my cousin
Robert Parys, citezin & Taylor of London and £10. To Maister John
Beeteyn, doctor of divinite to be serviour of my said executors &
40s & cloth competent for a gowne & a hoode for him. To Maister
John Chapman, doctor of Divinite undre like form. To my cousin Wm
Flemmyng grocer of London 100s. To Myncent late my servant 20s. To
Coterell & his wife sumtyme my servant 26s 8d. To Thomas Flemmyng
20s. To Robert Flemmyng 20s. To Prior & Covent of the Hous of Freres
Minors at Walsingham 40s for a trentall. To very poor householder in the
Towne of Sherford in Norff: 20d to pray for my soule. Richard Baxster
gooldsmyth 40s. John Chalk oweth me £24, he to pay my executors £14.
To twoo 3 sonnes of Myghell Harryes late my husband 40s. Residue to
Richard Odyham, draper & Robert Pavys, taillor, citezins of London
abovenamed, executors.
