William Watte (Wattes) 12 Nov. 1488. To the Mass of Jesus 8d & Brotherhood of St George 12d.
   Son John 4 pairs of sheets, one towel, a brasspot & an instrument called the Hekeyll (a kind of comb with steel teeth used for dressing flax & hemp – Dialet dictionary) one manfare of the flewys & one sprot net, one manfare of shot net and one other net, but if John die before 16 then wife Agnes to have them.
   If Agnes marry, before John is 16 then to be valued & the money to Wm Kempe & Wm Stevyn for my son John. Executor: wife Agnes & to have the residue.
