John Polton senior 10 May 1498. Light of St Mary 12d & 5lbs of wax to burn. Mass of Jesus 12d
   Thomas Hawkyn 40s within 3 years of my death. Son John to dispose on the day of my burial trental & anniversary £6.13.4 among priests clerks & poor people. 
   Wife Margerie 40s & all my household goods, except two brass pots to son John. A chaplain to celebrate in the church for half a year for my soul etc. Executor: son John.
