Roger Jeken, clerk. 20 July 1463. To be
buried before the great St James in the church of All Saints. To the
mother church of Canterbury diocese 12d. To the nave of the Church of Lydd
13s 4d; & to the Brotherhood of Holy Trinity there 20d. To the Parish
Church of Warehorne my Manual Book & to the Parish Church of Kenarton
my Processional Book, & to the rector one book of the Life of Christ.
To the College of Wye one book of the Dialogues of St Gregory with other
contents.
John Hunt six silver drinking cups of one set & make
& Agnes my sister wife of the same John Hunt 19 pieces of ‘electri’
new made. To the four sons of Thomas Jeken my brother four coverlets &
four pair of sheets. Richard my brother one blanket & coverlet. To the
Rector of Shaddoxhurst my red cloak. To Thos Caxton 6s 8d. Residue after
paying legacies, debts etc to Executors: John Hunt & Thomas Jeken to
dispose for my soul.
Feoffees of my land in Shaddoxhurst: William Harlakynden,
John Hunt & Thos Jeken, to sell all that wood growing upon Pepisden
& Clelenden & with the money executors to dispose for my soul
& all the faithful departed. Thos Jeken my brother to have all the
aforesaid land for life then to Richard son of Thos Jeken & his heirs
for ever. To the Church of Lydd one surplice.
