John HOLME - Will 4 April 1496

John Holme 4 April 1496. The Brotherhood of Holy Cross and of All Saints 12d each & the Mass of Jesus 12d. To Dom. Andrew parish Chaplain 12d and to each of the parish-clerks 4d.
   Wife Agnes all household goods, except two great chests, six pairs of sheets, two undercloths, two pair of blankets etc, with a feather bed & mattress, which shall remain to sons Thomas & William equally. Wife Agnes have 8 cows, 100 ewes, one wene yoked, and she shall choose the better cattle which are in my custody.
   My cattle and grain to be sold by executors and from the money – to the reparation of the Church £5, to William my son £10 to find him at scole; son John 20 marcs (13.6.8) when 15 years of age; sons Thomas & William £10 each when 20. To Joan Hamon my sister 20s/- to John Hamon 2 ewes, Thos Hamon 2 ewes, Agnes Hamon 2 ewes, John Carby junior one ewe.
   An efficient priest to celebrate in the church for one year for my soul & have 20 marcs. Joan Spone the mother of my wife £3 and 20s/- yearly for her life, then to Agnes my wife.
   The Tenement called Rowys & 38 acres to wife Agnes for life then to sons Thomas and William. Executors – Simon Watts & John Fermor or Godfrey.
