Thomas Gallwey 10 April 1501. To Joan wife of John Bate 3s 4d & one basin. John Bate junior, Margaret Bate, Thomas Bate, Simon Bate & Andrew Bate each one ewe. John Met the use & occupation of one brass pot for his life then to my sister Rose. John my brother 2 blankets & 6 ewes. 
   Rose my sister a candlestick dish, saucer & pair of sheets. Alice my sister a pair of sheets etc. Residue to be sold & the money for my soul. Executors: John Bate junior & Thos Strogyll. 
   Lands etc to be sold & from the money Joan my mother 20s, to each of my sisters 12d, John my brother 10s, Thos Strogyll 5s, John Strogyll 5s & the residue for my soul.
