John a Downe 8 April 1505. Brotherhood of St
Mary 6d.
Residue to be divided into 2 parts (1) to wife Joan at her
choice (2) to Laurence & Peter my sons equally between them & wife
& sons to pay 6s/8d for their parts. Executors: Laurence a Downe,
Peter a Downe & Thos Collen.
The chief tenement in which I live to son Laurence & his
heirs paying to Joan £5 in the first 3 years.
Three acres near the land of James Swanne & Roger
Harlakynden to be sold & the money to
pay debts etc.
My barn near the barn of Thomas Buntyng also 2½ acres
between the lands of James Swanne & the relict of Martin Keysar to son
Peter & his heirs, paying to Joan my wife 20s.
Three acres called Louxts to son Laurence. Daughter Joan my
tenement in which Thos Collen lives.
