Robert Bownde 20 April 1487. To the Mass of
Jesus 4d: to the Brotherhood of St Katherine 4d & to the Chapel of St
Mary in Lydd for the purification of women my best cloth (mappale) &
best towel (manukryium?).
Wife Agnes all contents of the house (domicillia) & three
silver cups & if she be pregnant with child & a boy then he to
have the 3 cups when 16; but if no child then at her death the silver cups
to the Mass of Jesus to make the cruets for the said Mass.
Executors: Wife Agnes & Thos Buntyng. Wife Agnes my
messuage for 16 years then to my son if there is one, but if not to the
Mass of Jesus at death of Agnes.
