John Alwey 5 April 1479. To each of the
parish clerks 4d & to each Brotherhood of St John Bapt, St Katherine
& St Christopher 4d, to the Mass of Jesus 12d & reparation of the
nave of the church 6.8d. Daughter Martha to have the best girdle with
silver mounts but if she die before she is of full age then the girdle to
be given to the repair of the nave of the church. Edward Alwey my brother
my best doublet & William Hayton the second doublet. Wife Margaret all
the household things (domicilium) & all my nets. Executors: wife
Margaret, Thos Bagott & Thos Wreyth. Feoffees of lands: Edward Alwey
& Wm Hayton. Wife Margaret my chief tenement & lands for life then
to Robert & Edward my sons & their heirs but if they die before
Margarete then to Martha & Joan my daughters & their heirs but if
they die then to be sold & the money for my soul, wife, children, etc.
