John Alchorn senior 24 October 1471. To the parish priest 6d & Wm Brownflet parish clerk there 4d. To each of the Brotherhood of St James & of St Katherine 6d. Daughter Joan to her marriage £2, two cows, 12 sheep 4 lambs. Son John & daughter Joan all the contents (instauram) of my house equally between them. A priest to celebrate a Trental of St Gregory the Pope for one year. Residue to son John who with Henry Bate, executors. Feoffees: Robert Hough, Stephen Locok, Thos Holdernesse, Wm Richards. Son John all my lands & tenements & to his heirs for ever but if he die then to be sold & 20s to Joan & residue for my soul. Witnesses: Dom Thomas, Henry Bate, John Swetyng.
