Henry Alayn 4 January 1457. To Thomas Boner parish priest 8d. To William Brownflet my clerk 8d, & to Wm Leycroft his associate (socius) 8d. To Julian Botcher a black cow & to the work of the church of Lydd a black cow. John Newland 6 ewes; John son of Robert Howe 6 ewes, & James Newland 12 ewes. Residue not disposed after paying debts & legacies to executors for my soul viz Thomas Alayn, Robert Howgh & Laurence my wife. Son Thomas & wife Laurence to have 20 acres of land in the parish of Woodchurch upon the Den of Hennecote. Daughters Alice & Idone each 5 mrcs (£3.6.8) to their marriage. Witnesse James Ayllewyn, John Serlys, Thos Ayllewyn, Thos Bate junior, Edward Elis.
