John Houll, of the parish of Saint Nicholas of New Romeney. 2nd October 1517. To be buried in churchyarde of St Nicholas on the southside there where my stone standyth. To reparation of the body of the same church 40s. To every light in the same church 12d. To be Rodelight 3s 4d. To the light of our Lady in the said church perpetually to be maynteyned 9 acres and a half of land lying in the parish of Ivychurch at the Five Wents in the tenure of the Archbisshop of Canterbury which land rentith by yere 12d. To reparacion of the churches of Saint Martyns and Saint Laurence 40s. To Saint Jonys house 30 ells of canvas to make them shets. Residue to Agnes my wyfe & Executrix & Richard Stewpponey thelder of Romeney the other executor. 
Last will: Richard Stewpponey thelder, Cristofer Henfield, Wm Tadlowe & Stevyn Buntyng my feoffees. They to pay to Avys Houll wife of Henry Houll £4 out of my lands in Evychurch in Romeny Marshe for & in the name of hir joyntor. And after their decesse I will the said 2 parcells of land called Groveherst & Hornehells of 47 acres remayn to John Houll sonne of said Henry. If he die then to Stevyn Houll the sonne of me the said John Houll & Agnes. To Agnes my wyfe my lands in Newe Romeny, Hoopper Blakmanston & Ivychurch except those to our dear Lady light, paying to the said Stevyn sonne of me the said John & Agnes five marcs. My sonne Stephyn when 24 a goblet of silver with a covering of 32 uncs?????. If Stevyn die wtout heires then after death of Agnes my tenement in the which I the said John Houll dwell in next to the high Crosse forthwith 16 acres of land that was sometyme Buklands in parish of Hoope, to remayn unto the churchwardeyns of St Nicholas Pounteney of Romeney to thuse of the same churche. The 60 acres I purchased of John Fynche & Vyncent Fynche to be solde. To every one of my maydens Anne Toly & Anne Essex to their marriage 20s. To Robert May comen clerk 10s. Witnesses Richard Pever, Vicar of Romeney, Richard Stuppeney, Richard Burssell, Edward Wodell, Thos Weston, Wm Dukherst & Robert May.
