STEPHEN BRONYNGBURY of Merden, 12 September 19 Edward (1479). To be buried in the chirch yerde of Merden. To the light of Saint Mighell 4d., our lady light 4d., rode light 4d., herse light 4d. To the chirch of Merden 6s. 8d., to Ealding chirch 13s. 4d. A preest to syng at Merden by half a yere and at Ealding and 5 marks to each.
I make William Graunger and John Faunt executors.
Last will: the yere 1479 of all suche londis, and tenements &e in the parish of Ealdyng the which Robert Jacob stondith seised in his demesne as in fe to the use and hehof of the seid Stevyn. First he will the seid londes &e be solde and the money for his soule helth in forme saying first that Syr Robert syng for his soul half yer in Merden chirch and half yere in Ealding. Also that his broder sonnes have among them 6 marks. Also John Hasil 40s. Agnes Merden and Johan Merden 20s., Sare, seruaunt of William Graunger 12d., Milsent seruaunt of same 12d., Thomas Forde 6s. 8d., and Richard Taylor his best gowne. To the doughters of Thomas Browynygbury eche 6s. 8d. The doughter of John Brownyngbery 6s. 8d. To John Taylor 6s. 8d., Alison Graunger 20s., John Perfitt 12d., Henry Maplisden 12d. At his burying and moneth mynde 26s. 8d. To Maude Rolf 40d., John Herbelott and his wiff 12d., William Graunger and John Faunt 4 marks.
