JOHN HYLS of Byddenden [Biddenden] in Kent yoman, 2 May 32 Henry VIII. To be buried in churchyard of Byddenden. At my burying in masses, dirige and other charitable dedes 6s. 8d. On my monethes day 6s. 8d.
To William Smyth my seruant 10 marks.
To Katheryne my wif £10 in money and £10 in household stuff also twoo hayfers.
To Agnes Hyls my douther 10 marks at her mariage or 21. Vnto William Pelland 5s. John Boycott my servant 10s. half a yere after she is maryed or at 24. To Nicholas Webbe my baye geldyng.
Vnto my three sonnes John, Thomas and Robert Hyls all resydue egally to be deoyded at their ages of 22 yeres (or marriage).
Executors Stephen Richard and William Stacy and Nicholas Webb overseer.
Witnes: William Smyth, Robert Bassett, and Nicholas Webbe.
