RICHARD HEYWARD citizen and mercer of London 17 June 1468. To be buried in the church of Saint Ethelburge in Bisshopsgate. To the work of the parish church of Stebenhith 6s. 8d. I leave to the work (fabrice) of the body of the parish church of Shaddokesherst 6s. 8d. To the work (fabrice) of the body of the parish church of Bettrisden in Kent 6s. 8d.
Whereas Thomas, Bishop of London has let to farm to me Richard Heyward all that messuage called Le Bakhous with a certain house called Le Stable and one ‘Hope’ and one ‘Wallia’ in length 4 perches 12 feet and a half at Lez Lymostez in the lordship of Stebbenheth the same and all lands and tenements called Chadokkisland in Shaddokesherst to be sold and disposed by my executors in St. Ethelberts, Stebenhith and Shadokesherst for poor inhabitants.
I leave to William Blakeman citizen and talugh chaundeler of London 13s. 4d. To John Grafton citizen and barbitonsor of London 13s. 4d. I leave to John Vpton citizen and sherman of London 13s. 4d. Residue to Alice my wife and she to be executrix with William Blakeman, John Grafton and John Vpton.
Witness Thomas Clyfford notary public, Robert Malmey, salter, John Andrewe habredasher citizens of London.
